ST. LOUIS, MO (KDKZ-TV) The mother of a former St. Louis Police Chief pleads guilty to fraud.
70-year old Carol Dotson, mother of former St. Louis City Police Chief Sam Dotson, has pleaded guilty to one count of wire fraud for embezzling money from a Missouri real estate company.
Dotson was the office administrator of a commercial real estate property management company in Olivette. According to Federal Prosecutors, she embezzled more than $2 million from July 2003 to February 2017. She wrote checks to herself and withdrew large sums of money from the company for personal expenses.
She faces up to 20 years in prison, a $250,000 fine, or both.
