(KDKZ-TV) The deadly shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in February sparked outrage across the country with teachers, student and parents demanding stronger gun and school safety policies.

In response, the White House has announced that Education Secretary Betsy DeVos will lead a new Federal Commission on School Safety to examine how to protect schools from gun violence.

Devos says many options are on the table.

“There’s not going to be a one size fits all solution to this issue, and this problem,” says Devos.  “There are going to be many different solutions,” she says.

The White House also stated it will support funding school officials in firearms training.
