(KDKZ-TV) Missouri State Parks has launched a new website designed especially for recruiting military veterans for positions within the state parks system.

This new site is a significant step forward in a continued initiative by the Missouri Department of Natural Resources to recruit and hire more veterans, starting with its Division of State Parks.

Governor Eric Greitens announced the effort during a visit to a job fair at Fort Leonard Wood aimed at hiring more veterans to the Missouri State Parks system.

The Missouri State Parks veteran recruitment website includes a list of positions currently open to veteran applicants, details on the application process and an overview of State employee benefits.
