(KDKZ-TV) Authorities say an elderly driver who plowed into an Amish buggy nine months ago, killing a pregnant newlywed, has struck another buggy on the same southern Missouri road.

The latest crash happened Sunday as four teenagers were taking a buggy to a gathering near the town of Licking.  83-year-old Clarissa Rose Smith says she “didn’t see the buggy in time to get around it.”

The Missouri Highway Patrol says that even though the teens didn’t require medical treatment, there will be “extra scrutiny” because Smith also crashed into a buggy in September.  29-year-old Mattie Miller died three days later from a head injury, leading to a $300,000 settlement.  Smith also says she was ticketed in both cases for careless and imprudent driving.
