JEFFERSON CITY, MO (KDKZ-TV) State Budget Director Dan Haug announced that 2018 fiscal year-to-date net general revenue collections increased 2.1 percent compared to 2017, from $8.35 billion last year to $8.53 billion this year.
Net general revenue collections for May 2018 increased 2.3 percent compared to those for May 2017, from $713.4 million last year to $729.5 million this year.
GROSS COLLECTIONS BY TAX TYPE
Individual income tax collections
- Increased 5.7 percent for the year, from $6.70 billion last year to $7.09 billion this year.
- Increased 17.2 percent for the month.
Sales and use tax collections
- Increased 1.9 percent for the year from $1.96 billion last year to $2.00 billion this year.
- Increased 1.0 percent for the month.
Corporate income and corporate franchise tax collections
- Increased 8.2 percent for the year, from $351.5 million last year to $380.4 million this year.
- Decreased 10.9 percent for the month.
All other collections
- Decreased 4.9 percent for the year, from $454.9 million last year to $432.4 million this year.
- Decreased 41.8 percent for the month.
Refunds
- Increased 22.3 percent for the year, from $1.12 billion last year to $1.36 billion this year.
- Increased 35.1 percent for the month.
