FREDERICKTOWN, MO (KDKZ-TV)  The Madison County Water District #1 has issued a precautionary boil water order for the South System.

This area begins at Highway H, then south along Highway 67, thru the Cherokee Pass area. This includes all connecting state and county roads.

This is due to low tank volume caused by a break in the main line.

All persons should boil water vigorously for three (3) to five (5) minutes prior to use for cooking, drinking or making ice.  This is a precautionary order and will stay in effect until samples are approved by the Dept. of Health, approximately Wednesday afternoon.

Customers may call the bulletin board phone number, 573-783-8470, to hear when the order is lifted.
