FARMINGTON, MO (KDKZ-TV) Formal charges have been filed against two Farmington residents in connection with the investigation of a Child Abuse Hotline complaint received earlier today where four children, ages 6-12, were allegedly being confined in unsanitary and abusive conditions.
38-year-old Daryl Justen Head and 38-year-old Laura Elizabeth Cheatham have each been charged with 5-Counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child Creating Substantial Risk 1st Degree and 3-Counts of Kidnapping 2nd Degree.
Both are being held on $500,000.00 each.
Investigators found that the children were being confined in an area on the main floor of the home wherein two bedrooms had been modified into four smaller rooms that were described as being, “smaller than a jail cell”, with no lighting, and no access to water or toilet facilities.
